Rising mezzo-soprano Sally Alexander graduated with distinction in Opera & Operetta and Lied & Oratorio from the world-renowned University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). She is distinguished for her interpretations of opera and concert works, ranging from Händel and Rossini to contemporary music. Her performing schedule has brought her to Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and more.​

Over her career, Sally has had the unique opportunity to work with numerous renowned musicians who mentored, inspired and guided her artistic path, such as Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Richard Eyre, Thomas Hampson, Cecilia Bartoli, Silvana Bazzoni, Jendrik Springer, David Aronson, Mirella Freni, Dalton Baldwin, Marijana Mijanovic, Dolors Aldea, Gabrielle Lechner, Daniel Sarge, Larissa Gergieva, etc.

Sally received a 4-year scholarship for exceptional talent from the “Sic Itur Ad Astra” Foundation in Liechtenstein. While still a student in Vienna, she sang in productions under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Richard Eyre with the Berlin Philharmonic at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. She appeared as the Thief’s daughter in Anna Netrebko’s production “The Snow Queen” at Esterházy Palace under the bottom of Karsten Januschke and under the direction of Christiane Lutz. She made her debut at Vienna Konzerthaus in a gala under the patronage of Dominique Meyer.​​​​

The following years brought numerous concert appearances at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Schönbrunn Palace Theatre Vienna, National Palace of Culture Sofia, Hercules Hall in the Munich Residence, Nymphenburg Palace, Sofia Philharmonie, Riga National Opera Theatre, Kaunas Philharmonie, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Teatro Principal Palma de Mallorca, Festival “Música Mallorca”, etc. Since 2017, she has been performing regularly in Spain under the direction of José Maria Moreno, including season openings at the Teatro Principal in Palma de Mallorca. She frequently sings with “Orquesta de Guitarras de Barcelona” at the renowned Palau de la Música Catalana.

The multilingual singer has recorded numerous times German, Italian, Russian, French and contemporary masterpieces with the Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio and musicians from the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2024 and 2025, Sally made intensive orchestral recordings of Baroque repertoire, incl. with musicians from the Wiener Akademie Orchestra. In 2025, she appeared at gala concerts celebrating the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss as well as the 185th anniversary of Pjotr Tchaikowski. For 2026, which marks the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla’s birth, Sally has multiple performances planned where she will be performing Candelas and Lucia from “El Amor brujo”.
